Following this, he did a one year residency in pathology at the University of South Florida.
Dr. Grey has lectured urologists from around the world on testicular tumors at the annual meeting of the American Urological Association, and has published highly respected urological journal articles on rare diseases of the testicles and kidneys. His work has been quoted in textbooks and medical journals throughout the entire world.
He was the chief of urology at the Tampa Veterans Administration Hospital and a Clinical Professor of Surgery at the University of South Florida Medical School. The doctor was originally board certified in urology in 1988, and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Urology.
Dr. Grey was also the host of the popular radio talk show "Sex Matters" which was broadcast in the early nineties.
From 1985 through 1997, he practiced privately in Tampa, treating about ten thousand people during that time. In 1997, he went on sabbatical, became a multi-engine, instrument-rated pilot, wrote 3 books, and practiced charity medicine for impoverished people, winning governmental awards for humanitarian services in 1999, 2000, and 2001. In 2001, he invented new techniques for the no-scalpel vasectomy and micro-vasectomy reversal, which have drastically improved these procedures. The doctor also designed, engineered, and hand-machined the instruments which he uses.
Urologists from Europe have flown to Tampa to study Dr. Grey's techniques. Televised segments about the doctor's surgical innovations have appeared on NBC, ABC, CBS and FOX news.
